About PTO

We have Moved! Please see our new site at

Thank you for your patience while we get the site link fixed.

We are looking forward to a great 2013-2014 school year!  Winfield PTO is comprised of volunteers who aim to support a school community where students and teachers can flourish.  To this end, we are organizing activities that foster the connection between home, school and community life; initiatives that support school staff; and fundraisers that provide resources benefiting district children and their families

All parents and staff are automatically members of our PTO and your involvement is critical to its success!

Meet the Executive Board and Coordinators >

Your most important PTO job at the start of the year is to commit yourself to getting involved. Scan the fundraisers and activities lists and mark them on your calendars, review the Volunteer Handbook to identify where you can participate, and register online to get involved with PTO.   NEW this year, we ask you to submit your contact information and sign up to volunteer through SignUp Genius.  However, you can still send in a paper copy of the volunteer handbook, if you prefer.

Our meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the Central School Commons.

What Does PTO Do?

The PTO strengthens the connection between home, school and community life in a variety of ways.

  • 8th Grade Promotion
  • Staff Appreciation Luncheon
  • Staff Philanthropic Requests
  • School Assemblies
  • Purchasing Special Items not in the School Budget (i.e., bleachers, scoreboard, updated technology)
  • Fundraising and community building events

We also offer some programs as a convenience or service to families at a reasonable cost without the intent to raise money. Examples include:

  • School Supply Kits
  • School Calendars
  • Family Movie Nights
  • Spirit Wear Sale
  • All School Directory

How Does PTO Raise Money?

To finance these activities, we sponsor various fundraisers.

  • One Time Donation Campaign
  • Ink Cartridge Recycling
  • My Coke Rewards
  • Greenery Sale
  • Cooks Night Out/Ice Cream Social
  • Box Tops Collection
  • Campbell’s Labels
  • Target Store Programs
  •  Lou Malnati’s “Dough for Dough Pizza” Fundraiser

We hope you will take steps to GET INVOLVED in some way this year!  Join our meetings the 2nd Tuesday each month at 7pm in the Central School.  Everyone is welcome and all present may vote.
