The school staff are looking for parents to partner with them on a few school improvement projects. This is what PTO is all about - parents and staff collaborating to make an impact on our school community and enhance the environment for our teachers and students. Here's what the school is looking for:
1. "Safe Routes to School" project - 1-2 parents to serve as "parent representatives" and provide input in a planning meeting on Tuesday 2/18. During this meeting, the Wellness Committee will brainstorm what is feasible and within budget for this year. Parent participation and volunteers will be critical to the program's success. Ideally one of these parents (or both) would remain involved in future planning and volunteer coordination efforts. More info is at:

2. Wellness Committee members - 1-2 additional parents to join the Wellness Committee. They meet 4-5 times a year and look globally at our wellness initiatives each year, and brainstorm new projects. This year the focus is to complete the Safe Routes to School project.
